Abstract

Data literacy is a reference instrument for decision-making based on information for the organization, analysis and selection of data in a precise, consistent and contextualized manner. It constitutes the combination of skills to explore, understand and communicate with data in a meaningful way. With the advent of artificial intelligence technology and the increased computational speed of big data, we are seeing a significant increase in data-driven decision-making in all domains of knowledge. Therefore, it is important to have strong data literacy. The prioritization of data literacy processes and technical training to explore, use, analyze, transform, communicate and achieve sustainable decision-making in all areas of information in a meaningful, verifiable and effective way become activities of our professional practice.
