Abstract

Healthy eating is an important and essential factor, even more so in future health professionals, since these are the next promoters of it. That is why the present study is intended to know the intake of food in relation to its quality and composition; and its link with emotions. Physical activity acts as a protective factor against chronic non-communicable diseases, thus gaining special importance, mainly in the face of the appearance of cardiovascular risk factors. This was an observational, cross-sectional study; The sample includes 104 medical students in their final year at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste, in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. The data collection technique was through a questionnaire adapted to virtuality through the “Google Forms” platform, which included 22 questions. The data analysis was through an Excel spreadsheet, using descriptive statistics. The main results showed that there is a very significant percentage of food intake with high caloric content, in addition, it is evident that the food labeling is not taken into account in the vast majority of participants when choosing packaged foods. In addition, it has been proven that emotions greatly influence eating.
