Abstract
The present study aimed to explore and analyze the perceptions and experiences of the healthcare team regarding organizational leadership at the Family Health Unit (U.S.F.) Riacho Mosquito, Alto Paraguay, identifying its influence on management and work dynamics within the unit. A qualitative approach was employed, using an exploratory and cross-sectional design, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation. The findings reveal that organizational leadership at the U.S.F. influences management efficiency, decision-making, and internal communication, all of which are key aspects for the healthcare team's performance. Challenges were identified, including a lack of leadership training, difficulties in intersectoral coordination, and resource shortages. However, participants also pointed out improvement strategies, emphasizing the importance of participatory leadership, the promotion of effective communication mechanisms, and the strengthening of teamwork. It is concluded that organizational leadership is a determining factor in the management of the U.S.F., impacting team cohesion and the quality of care provided to the community. It is recommended to implement leadership training programs, improve communication channels, and foster collaboration among different actors in the healthcare system to optimize the management and performance of the team within the unit.
