Abstract

An infant under 2 months of age with an incomplete vaccination schedule due to a rat bite on the right index finger, with dry bleeding, without inflammatory signs, fever or other symptoms. The wound was washed and later transferred to a center specialized in tropical infections, where after inspection of where it is discharged on the day, without medication and with an indication to return if fever occurs in the following ten days. She did not present any symptoms or infection for which she was definitively discharged.
