Abstract

The purpose of the research work was to evaluate the pathologies of people deprived of liberty due to sexual abuse in children of the Regional Penitentiary of Coronel Oviedo during the year 2018. The analysis was obtained from a sample of 18 people deprived of liberty condemned for abuse child sexual The methodology of this research was qualitative and quantitative, by means of which the following specific data were obtained, common psychological characteristics, pathologies, pathological features, family types, recidivism, sociocultural level. The investigation was descriptive of cross section. Our population, a group of individuals that are part of the people deprived of liberty condemned for sexual abuse in children of the Regional Penitentiary of Coronel Oviedo. As a result of this investigation the study participants were corroborated presenting similar characteristics; denial, low self-esteem, dysfunctional families, low sociocultural level, mystical delirium; with 33% recidivism, an alarming case for the cause, there is no penitentiary treatment for this pathology and therefore there is a high rate of recidivism and little social reintegration.
