Characterization of university linkage practices around the Private University María Serrana de Asunción period 2018 - 2019

Abstract

The link of the university with its environment must be assumed as part of its mission by allowing the establishment and development of joint integration projects to produce the social changes and transformations of the various communities. The general objective of the study was to characterize the university linkage actions around the María Serrana de Asunción Private University. The research was non-experimental, mixed, documentary and field, descriptive transectional. The years of review and analysis were established as the years 2018 and 2019. The content analysis and synthesis technique was used. The response to the needs of the community, commitment to the improvement of the community and linkage and social responsibility were determined as categories of analysis for the connection or connection of the university with the environment. Dimensions included scientific production, extension activities and professional practices. Some of the indicators proposed were the number of extension projects or programs, the number of beneficiary non-academic entities. The in-depth interview technique was applied to management personnel, in order to collect and confirm information on the evidence and results of the linking actions. The documents examined, as well as the results of the interviews, confirm that aspects related to the university environment are defined, verifying the existence of regulations and precepts that respond to the needs and commitment to improve the quality of life of the community, social bonding. A high scientific production, extension activities and professional practices in non-academic entities were evidenced, achieving the proposed objectives.
